2:10 MOU with school board all set, no changes but “Mike” not there to discuss/present

2:24 Financials discussion Lee Arthur, see minutes for details.

5:00 discussion of potential donation to Run for the Fallen as an honorarium for the Memorial Day speaker Mr. Comtois. Tabled to see if possible for Rec to do so.

8:47 Letter from Mike Magnant re Town Hall Committee member from Rec. Commission.  Maggie D-D indicates she might be interested but needs to understand time commitment.

10:35 Volunteers for Rec. Commission position present: Cory Belden new to town looking to contribute to town organized Bike to Work Week inBaton Rouge. Brett Mulvey grew up inRye, coaches.

16:15 Facilities needs: contemplate, appears a document(s) is being referred to)  and discuss next meeting and make a recommendation

16:40 Drainage. Field drainage Greg M. plan for something between July and August between seasons. RFP is be prepared. $17.5(00) placeholder for project. July or after October. Likely first 3 weeks of July, 1week project

20:00 Field use discussion and liability. Background check and certification, softball was not doing it per Lee Arthur and will have to use fields  Little League does background checks and as does Lacrosse but needs certification through State ofNH, actually through DES

24:40 Alyssa Chase 9th grader proposing outdoor movie night inRye with assistance from Lee Arthur. Seeking locations and sponsors, approach businesses and Rye Lions. Budget perExeter example $1200-$1500 per movie night.  Screen rental $600, movie $250-$450. Discussion of location: ideally Parsons Field, Little League also suggested. Timing ideally, end of school time. Motion to investigate further.

40:30 Discussion of “after school” focus groups with focus on junior high age programming with professional facilitation and data.

44:40 Lee Arthur. Recreation Area parking. Appropriate parking but some people have “difficulty” parking in the actual spaces. Pictures of some blatant examples of blocking gate to field, dumpster, on side of road etc…. when 20% of spots are still available. Solutions: signs, curbs, tickets, cones, striping. May require ordinance to ticket. Better signage, marking, talk to Kevin, potential ordinance.
