7:08 p.m. Call to order and recital of the Pledge of Allegiance
7:09 p.m. Review of January 2014 meeting minutes with minor corrections. Approved 4-0 with Mr. Goldman abstaining.
7:10 p.m. Application by Nathan Dunn and Alison Hart of 27 Huntervale
Avenue for an Administrative Appeal to Bldg. Inspector’s 12/23/14
Permit denial, and variances to VI 603.1 and II 204.3 for
expansion of non-conforming house. (Reference 7/10/13 meeting).
7:11 p.m. Attorney Phoenix presents argument that new plan plus prior 7/10/13 variances should be granted.
7:14 p.m. “Interest rate changes and potential for duplicative work caused this situationâ€- paraphrase. TMS mentioned as architect. Building improvements on top of variance improvements.
7:16 p.m. Atty. Phoenix respects Bldg. Inspector’s decision but the variance
relief remains modest.
7:19 p.m. Recital of seven (7) abutter’s support of new plan, and no opposition known.
7:22 p.m. Congenial discussion in the room of the attraction of the 2014 Olympics.
7:24 p.m. Building Inspector:Â plan is right at the lot coverage; he thought it
important that the ZBA take another look, given that the latest plan is substantially different
from last summer’s.
7:27 p.m. Uncertainty on height of house in plan. “well below 35 feetâ€.
7:29 p.m. Ridge height of non-variance ridgeline will be changed higher.
7:32 p.m. “nowhere near 35 feetâ€.
7:33 p.m. Chairman solicits other comments. Neighbor: plan represents great
opportunity for neighborhood.
7:35 pm. Chairman Drake: not a McMansion.
7:36 p.m. Members reaffirm appropriateness of bringing this back to them.
7:41 p.m. Public hearing closed.
7:42 p.m. Applicant’s variances granted 5-0 unanimous on every ZBA
criterion.
