Information on Camden Green Program

A resident at the Rye Public Forum discussions shared information they saw in Camden ME about a volunteer program that keeps pollution out of their water system.

Since run off from yards, especially for locations like Rye that have many wet lands, protecting the buffers and eliminating chemicals that are washed into the water supply can make a significant difference.  When residents choose to ban chemicals from their property/lawn, they can shade in their property on a town map that is posted at Town Hall.

This sounds like a great idea. Please call me, I’d love to get this going.
