2013 Energy Report – Meredith Sopher, our intern, has finished the work she was assigned to do. Tom and Howard will follow up with support for the Energy Report.
Town Hall Committee Meeting – There was a public meeting last Tuesday, October 28, 2014 with quite a few residents present. There is more work that needs to be done and the committee will be receiving packages from prospective bidders by November 25, 2014 and it will go out to bid in early December. Minutes of the 10/28/14 meeting will be on the Town Website under Town Hall Committee.
David Borden attended our meeting to talk with the REC about possible plans to help Jim Connick of the Adams Mobile Home Park, to improve the units that he owns.  There are 63 units there, 11 owned by Jim Connick. Ideas ranged from winterizing the existing mobile homes to buying replacement homes, which are now much more efficient than past homes. David and Tom will plan to meet with Jim and a representative from PSNH to discuss this further.
Button Up Workshop – The Button Up workshop will be on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at the Rye Public Library from 6-7:30 PM. Food seems to be well arranged and ready to go. Michele has done a great job of organizing this program, presented by the Rye, North Hampton and New Castle Energy Committees and the Rye Public Library. A final reminder notice will go out on Monday, November 17.
Poster Program – Howard’s latest poster, for the Library, has been printed and was given to Andy Richmond.   The Rye Elementary School is next. Thank you, Howard, for the work you’ve done on this project.
Public Safety Building – Michele met with Dennis McCarthy and Mike Magnant. An RFP will be sent out for an audit, which will, hopefully, be done in December.
Michele wrote an article for the winter Rye Newsletter (December/January/February). It was very well written and will be sent to Janice Ireland this week (deadline Friday, November 7).
RREC – Deidre has written an article for the winter Rye Newsletter, which will be Cc’d to the REC.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:58.
The next meeting of the Rye Energy Committee is Tuesday, December 1, 2014, 6:30-8 at the Rye Public Library.
