Webster at Rye Expansion Discussion

W hat do you think the town should do at Webster at Rye?

Should there be a compromise?  If so, what do you think it should be?

Do you think the town needs to establish “what too much traffic is” on our main pass through corridors (such as Washington/Wallis/Sagamore)?

I was at the ZBA meeting on Wednesday and both sides are correct. Webster is a great asset for our community, there is more need for the services it provides, they so a great job, they are good neighbor, and need to do something to improve the financial outlook.

We also have a commercial entity in a Residential neighborhood that is growing. So when is too big? Does this expansion get to it?

As a community we need to be supporting Webster, but we do need a compromise to draw the line for what is too big for this location.

How much more traffic can the Washington, Wallis, Sagamore corridor support? It is going to get worse with the RCD at Shady Deal Lane and the big restaurant at Foyes corner and the planned development for the rest of the roundabout.
